CELEBRITY STYLE: INTERVIEW EDITION.

Interviews can be nerve racking enough.  Not only are you worried about leaving a lasting impression, but it can also be difficult to know what’s appropriate to wear.  Although appearance isn’t everything, employers do judge on how you present yourself in an interview setting.  Depending on what industry you are going into, your look could even be apart of your personal brand.  As college comes to a close, professional or interview situations become more frequent.  It can be hard to find the balance between looking professional but still feeling and looking fashionable.  Depending on the company, interviews will fall into three categories:  Casual, Business Casual, and Formal.  The Picky Fashionista’s have put together a cheat sheet to help guide you through each potential scenario.  The twist?  Each outfit is a look that one of our fave celebs has worn.  So if they can manage to rock a fashionable and chic interview look, so can you!

CASUAL

In a casual office, knowing what to wear for an interview can be confusing.  You’ll want to be dressier then you would be if you were working in this particular office.  Don a pair of tailored dress pants and a laid back blouse like Giuliana Rancic does here.  She keeps it casual but still professional.

BUSINESS CASUAL:

This category can be tricky to decipher.  It isn’t necessary to wear a dress suit, but you’ll still want to look polished.  A pencil skirt and a blouse are must have’s for any working girls wardrobe.  Miranda Kerr pulls off the model off duty version of this interview look effortlessly.  Follow Miranda’s lead and wear a simple blouse with a fun patterned pencil skirt.  Top off the look with a pair of pointy-toe pumps.

FORMAL:
Formal interviews are usually occasions where a suit, in a neutral color is the best option.  Pair that with closed toed shoes and you have an appropriate and professional look, however that doesn’t mean it has to be boring!  Take Kim Kardashian’s spin on the classic suit.  Yes, Kim does wear some pretty risqué looks for the office, but this blue suit she wore while she was pregnant is chic and totally interview appropriate.
